Christian embarked on his journey with AchieveKids as a part-time IT Assistant. Over the years, he has evolved into an important member of the IT team, dedicating himself to ensuring the safety, security, functionality, and user-friendliness of the organization’s technology. His commitment extends to guaranteeing that the technology deployed for staff, faculty, and students at AchieveKids is not only properly installed but also optimally configured to enhance productivity.
Chris’s proactive approach involves leading training sessions for staff on the implementation of new devices and software. His keen eye for selecting user-friendly and budget-conscious PCs and equipment has streamlined operations. Beyond conventional IT duties, he willingly extends his expertise to translation services and event preparation, showcasing his versatility and commitment to the organization’s overall success.
Before joining AchieveKids, Chris honed his skills in the computer lab at DeVry University’s Fremont campus, at Fry’s Electronics in Palo Alto, and as an independent contractor for personal and business computer support. His academic journey includes earning a degree in Computer Engineering with Honors from DeVry University and a prior degree as a Naturalist Guide from Centro Universitario Puntarenas in Costa Rica. Chris is also certified in A+, Net+, and MCSA as well as on multiple leadership and management courses.
Celebrating his Costa Rican heritage, Chris brings joy to the workplace, much like when he passionately cheers for his favorite soccer team. Whether on the field or at work, Chris is known for being everywhere at once, ensuring the seamless functioning of phones, laptops, servers, printers, scanners, Apple devices, and essential security software like firewalls and antivirus protection. His dedication reflects not only in his technical prowess but also in his holistic approach to contribute to the overall success of AchieveKids.
